Ackermans & van Haaren increase stake in Van Moer Logistics to 39.77%
BRUSSELS: Ackermans & van Haaren, through its wholly owned subsidiary AvH Growth Capital, has entered into an agreement to increase its stake in Van Moer Logistics to 39.77%.
Van Moer Logistics is an integrated logistics services provider active in multimodal transport, port and inland waterway logistics, warehousing, value-added logistics, freight forwarding and on-site logistics.
Since Ackermans & van Haaren first invested in the company in 2021, Van Moer Logistics has achieved strong growth. Revenue increased from 186 million euros in 2020 to 344 million euros in 2025, while operating cash flow (EBITDA) nearly tripled over the same period, from 13.4 million euros to 38.5 million euros.
Whereas Van Moer Logistics operated 500,000 m² of storage space with more than 1,400 employees in 2021, the company is now active at more than 40 locations and manages, with 2,200 employees, a fleet of 400 trucks and 15 inland waterway vessels, as well as 850,000 m² of warehousing.
Despite persistent geopolitical tensions and trade conflicts, which are creating an uncertain, highly competitive and cost-sensitive market environment, Van Moer Logistics recorded a strong first half of 2026 thanks to its diversified business model.
Van Moer Logistics recently inaugurated a new silo complex in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, while also developing a new logistics centre along the Albert Canal in Beringen. In June of this year, Van Moer Logistics acquired Ziegler Belgium’s air freight activities, marking an important step towards a fully integrated logistics and freight-forwarding offering.
Tom Bamelis, CFO and member of the executive committee of Ackermans & van Haaren, comments: “With this additional investment in Van Moer Logistics of approximately 11 million euros we strengthen our successful partnership with the founders, Jo Van Moer and Anne Verstraeten, and with the management team.”
Jo Van Moer, founder and CEO of Van Moer Logistics, adds: “We greatly value our partnership with Ackermans & van Haaren, which extends well beyond financial support. Ackermans & van Haaren brings significant added value to our company in every respect, particularly in advancing our growth plans and our international expansion ambitions.”
The company continues to implement its growth strategy, focusing on expanding its intermodal network, further strengthening its one-stop-shop offering and internationalising its activities, for which the first steps were taken in 2025.
